Southend - Robin Hood Game and Country Show Attractions
The Robin Hood Game & Country Show features a whole host of world-class attractions – offering something for the entire family. With a range of fantastic activities including Rifle Shooting, Archery and amazing main arena events, it really is a great family day out – even your dog in welcome!!
A firm favourite with visitors! Do you own the scruffiest dog? Do you and your dog look alike? Do you have a talented dog? If so, you could be a winner in one of the fun dog shows that take place throughout the duration of the weekend.

Dock Dogs – Big Air Competition
Back due to popular demand all the way from the USA, the Dock Dogs BIG AIR competition makes a huge splash back at this years show. This fun competition involves a ball, a large pool of water and the dog that can leap the furthest.
You can enter the Dock Dogs Big Air WAVE competition by registering online here or register at the show.
Placement Medals will be awarded to the Big Air Finalists, however All dogs that get wet during Big Air WAVE competitions will receive an award.
Dog Scurry - Have-a-go
Organised by the National Organisation of Beaters & Pickers-Up, the Dog Scurry is always very popular with all breeds of dog – a bit on fun for our four-legged friends.
The Scurry is a simple retrieving competition and is open to all dogs of all breeds and all ages – with prizes given for the fastest times of the day
Flyball Competition & have-a-go
The Ramsden Flyball team will hosting a flyballs competition over the two days at the show. They will also be running a have-a-go flyball which will be open for everyone to join in. If your club would like to take part get in touch with The Ramsden Flyball.
If you've never tried flyball before, why not have-a-go at the show? Just bring along your dog and let the professionals teach you how its done!
Dog Agility Group - Have a Go
Organised by the Tendering Dog Agility Group, watch our displays and then come and have a go yourself. Bring your four legged friend along to our Have a Go ring, any size, any breed, as long as it's over a year old. Get a free certificate to take home with you for your dog's scrapbook. So don't wonder "Can my dog do that?", Have a Go !
New for 2012. We are pleased to welcome to the show the AMK9 Dog Display Team, volunteers who pride themselves in helping charities across the country.
We are pleased to welcome to the show members of numerous dog breed clubs. Visitors of the show can come and find out more about a huge variety of dog breeds, some well known, some very rare.
Learn more about ‘man’s best friend’ and discover which breeds are suitable to which environments. Confirmed so far are: Inuits, Cane Corso, Newfoundlands, Greyhounds, Boxers and Alsations.
Tibetan Terriers
' More than just a pretty face'
Meet the Tibetan Terrier, nick named 'The little peo-ple'.
A medium sized dog, who is funny, robust and ener-getic, enabling them to travel great distances with their owners.
As the name suggests they come from the moun-tains of Tibet, being bred to raise the alarm when intruders approach the monastery's.
Large flat feet to enable sure footing in the snow, and to enable strong safe climbing ability.
Their non shedding coat makes them good around asthma sufferers.

Greyhoundhomer
Greyhoundhomer was first formed in April 2006 by a small group of volunteers originally spread over Essex, Suffolk and Hertfordshire. Once approval came from the Retired Greyhound Trust Head Office, Greyhoundhomer started by homing dogs directly from owners and trainers. Since then we have gone from strength to strength so that currently over 800 greyhounds are in homes as a direct result. Grehoundhomer will running the All About Dogs Fun Dog Show on Saturday and Sunday. Classes to follow shortly.
The Mid Essex Newfoundland's Group
Our Group was formed ten years ago for people and their Newfoundland’s to enjoy working, playing, and socialising in a safe and friendly environment. Our gaol as a Group is to encourage people to have fun with their Newfoundland’s doing things the dogs love best, swimming, carting, and going for walks. Within our Group we have members who have many years of ownership and experience with Newfoundland’s.

BRAND NEW SHOW! - Cheer your favourite knight in this amazing jousting and stunt display from the Stampede Stunt Display Team.
Audience participation is a must in this fantastic demonstration of jousting and stunt riding – with amazing displays of horseback riding such as jumping through fire, rearing, roman riding and a special demonstration of horseback archery.
With a team of professional stunt riders who have performed at top venues including Disneyland, American Adventure, Camelot and Europa, the Stampede Stunt Display will amaze you throughout the duration of the event in the main arena.
Owl Display with Berkley Owls
We are pleased to welcome Berkley Owls to the show. Featuring around 14 owls in a purpose built display – the display is open to view throughout the opening times of the event and visitors can have the experience of holding an owl for a small fee, and even a quality photograph taken as a momento of their experience for an additional fee, this being produced on-site in a matter of minutes and presented in a sleeve.
The main arena displays normally last around 30 minutes and to put it mildly, are spellbinding! Spectators get the opportunity to join Andrew and the owls in the arena and assist him in demonstrating just how wise and clever owls can be, mocking those who claim owls are stupid.
Flight of the Falcons
Enjoy this amazing display of agility and speed consisting of a whole host of beautiful but deadly falcons. From the fast and agile Harris Hawk to huge Buzzards this professional display is sure to keep you entertained.

Karate Club Essex Display
We are pleased to welcome to the show the team from the British Martial Arts Karate Group. The team, which teaches karate to students of all ages are based in several locations across Essex, including Southend and Basildon.
The exciting demonstration performed by local members (of all ages) must not be missed!
Pick your favourite and enjoy the race. This fun ferret race will take place in the countryside arena throughout the show. No money is exchanged hands and the emphasis is on fun and education.
Come and support Ferret Friends Rescue and take part in their entertaining ferret racing show in the countryside arena.
Owl Agility Display
Bet you've never seen owl complete a Dog Agility Course?! Well, there's always a first – join Andrew and his team of highly skilled owls in the Countryside Arena and witness first hand this amazing display.
You can even meet the owls and find out from Andrew (from Berkley Owls) just how clever owls really are.
Gun Dog Training Display
All the way from Norfolk, we are pleased to be joined by Dunhamswood Gundogs. Come along and learn from Steve some of the tricks of the trade of how working dogs are trained to an acceptable level and meet the stars of the show, a group of ‘novice’ gundogs – always interesting, sometimes hilarious.
Steve has been training gundogs for over 20 years and is a font of knowledge – he will be happy provide some great advice at the show.

Knights' Horse Stables & Encampment
It takes years of training for a horse to be ready to be ridden into battle! Enjoy the jousting and stunt displays in the Main Arena, and then join the cast at the stable area.
